Product Information

Mode of Action

Bentazone (HRAC Group 6) inhibits Photosystem II (PS II), disrupting electron transport and photosynthesis in susceptible weeds. MCPA (HRAC Group 4) is a synthetic auxin that mimics natural hormones, causing uncontrolled growth, stem twisting, and tissue collapse. Their combined contact and systemic actions ensure thorough control of broadleaf weeds and sedges.

Target Weeds
  • Cyperus difformis
  • Cyperus iria
  • Monochoria vaginalis
  • Ludwigia spp.
  • Ammania spp.
  • Chenopodium album
  • Anagallis arvensis
  • Annual broadleaf weeds and sedges

Recommended Application Guidance

Crop Target Weeds Dosage & Method of Application
Rice, Wheat & Barley Annual broadleaf weeds and sedges Apply as a post-emergence spray when weeds are actively growing (2–6 leaf stage) at the recommended label dosage. Ensure thorough and uniform spray coverage for optimum weed control.
For specific L/ha or ml/ha dosage rates and local water carrier recommendations across cereal crops and paddy fields, please refer to the registered product label or consult local agricultural extension specialists.

Application Instructions

1. Active Growth Timing (2–6 Weed Leaf Stage)
Apply as a post-emergence foliar spray when target annual broadleaf weeds and sedges are actively growing in the 2–6 leaf stage for maximum absorption and systemic translocation.
2. Thorough Spray Coverage
Ensure complete and uniform spray coverage across weed foliage using calibrated boom sprayers. Adequate wetting is critical for the contact component (Bentazone) to perform effectively.

Safety & Environmental Care

Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (gloves, goggles, face mask, protective suit) during handling, mixing, and application. Avoid spray drift onto non-target broadleaf crops and nearby water bodies. Store in original sealed container in a cool, dry, well-ventilated location away from food, drink, and animal feed.
